Dave Patterson has a diverse background spanning over 35 years in the start-up and growth of manufacturing and service companies, where he served as lead executive and Board member of the respective companies. He was most recently President of B&B Roadway and Security Solutions, a $20 million manufacturer of physical security and roadway safety products, recently sold by its private-equity owners to ASSA ABLOY. Previously, Dave was Vice President of Convergint Technologies system integration business with P&L responsibility of over $100M across five branch offices, where he led the integration of two of Convergint’s largest acquisitions.
Dave led the start-up of Intel Federal LLC as President, growing the company to $200M in contracts and a backlog of $1 billion over four years. He was CEO of Optelecom-NKF, a publicly traded manufacturer of video surveillance equipment with design and manufacturing operations in the U.S. and Europe. The company was sold to a strategic investor for a significant premium for shareholders.
Dave previously served as President and CEO of Siemens Government Services, growing the business from $28M to $300M in three years through acquisitions and organic growth. In earlier roles, Dave was Vice President of Facility & Plant Services at Fluor, leading software and consulting service groups supporting customers worldwide. He was Manufacturing Manager at Bridgestone and DICO Tire and Wheel.
Dave holds an MBA from Northeastern University and BS from Colorado Technical University.
An entrepreneur at heart, Dave launched an independent Management Consulting company that worked with business owners on new venture development. He learned the difficulties of scaling a one-person business. You are either selling or executing – not both!
Dave once was an active member of the Society for the Preservation and Encouragement of Barber Shop Quartet Singing in America.
